Measuring principle
The liquid flowing into the turbine flow sensor is split by the blade in partial jets. These hit uniformly from different directions on the impeller and make this in rotation. The speed of the impeller is now converted into an electrical pulse signal (frequency): The impeller is magnetized, a Hall effect sensor detects the rotational movement.

There is a flow proportional frequency signal (square wave signal) available. Due to the uniform flow of storage, the forces largely cancel each other out and the wear is reduced to a minimum. The extremely hard bearing materials, sapphire and carbide, additionally guarantee an exceptional service life.

Advantages
The plug-in flow sensor consists of two components: a turbine insert and a Hall-effect sensor. This structure is the key to space-saving installation. A high-quality sapphire bearing ensures a long service life of the measuring system and, thanks to low start-up speeds, enables the measurement of small flow volumes starting at one liter per minute.
